Description
Two submissions in a little more than 24 hours? Wow Apocalypse have to be near , most of you will think it surely
Leaving apart jokes, that's another homework i've done for pencils' lessons in the past months; we were asked to do a still life (a fruit preferably) subject with coloured pencils in a realistic way using a photo as reference, since i was not impressed by any of the shots i've found i decided to try a little more difficult task taking some references of red fruits into ice cubes to know where to put reflections and light to create this little "original" illustration of a cherry into a ice cube.
Done in 2 hours and half, more or less, on a rough paper sheet a4 format (used less than half of it) with coloured pencils and a bit of white tempera on a pair of final touch-ups like the drop and a reflections on the corner right in the front.
Enjoy!
Edit: the scanned version doesn't portrait truely the original one which is a bit more "red" but this is the maximum i was able to obtain by my scanner adjusting contrasts/lights and colours balancments.
Edit:
Added a watermark, sorry but i'm pretty sick to find this work of mine uploaded on multiples blogs and used as icon, sorry.
